Amy Rodriguez, who has added an NCAA championship and an Olympic gold medal to her trophy case in the last 15 months, staked a claim to the WPS spotlight when the Boston Breakers selected her as the first overall pick in Friday's 2009 WPS Draft in St. Louis. "If someone had told me two years ago that all this would happen - no way," said Rodriguez, a playmaking striker who lifted USC to the 2007 NCAA title and assisted on the gold-medal-winning goal in Beijing last fall. "It's basically been one huge wave of amazing events, one after the other."
